The injured have been identified as Moosa Mirshaf (19) and Ramsheed (20), both residents of Manjeshwar. They are II PUC students at Star Education Institution, Mangalore.
Moosa Mishraf speaking to Coastaldigest.com said: “As usual we were travelling in a bus to attend classes and wile reaching Gorigudda some unknown people stopped the bus. Later group forcefully pulled me and my friend Ramsheed who was sitting on next seat. Even bus conductor helped them and gang started hitting us with iron rod, bat and wickets.”
“When we questioned them, the assailants threatened us not ask any question. Later they left us on road and ran,” he said.
“We were pleading for help but no one came to rescue us. Finally one auto driver took us to District Wenlock Hospital,” he added.
“Both the victims had joined college this month and completed only 15 days of class. So far there was no complaint against their character or behaviour but assault on them made us to get scared. Since student are out of danger we are little relaxed”, said Director, Star Education Institution, Muhammad Saleem Malar.
