Mangalore, Aug 22: Mangalore South police arrested three persons suspected of robbing a non-resident Indian of gold chain, a mobile phone and cash near Rosario Church on Sunday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravi Kumar identified the accused as Sharook, Shoukat and Mohammed Hameer from Kudroli.
One among the accused introduced himself as a classmate to Valerian Charles near Rosario Church Sunday evening and took him to a secluded place near the railway level crossing, where he was joined by three other persons.
They then allegedly robbed Mr Charles of his gold chain, mobile phone and cash worth about Rs 95,000.
The police got clue of the accused from the footage of a CCTV camera installed near the place of robbery.
On Wednesday, the police caught three of the accused while they were allegedly attempting to carry out a robbery near KMC Hospital Attavar, Mr. Kumar said.
He also said that another accused in the case named Tanjeel had been absconding.
