Mangalore, Aug 31: “Martial arts and advocacy are inter-related since both have same principle of 'defend and fight' against the opponent. Here one has to respect his opponent and possess the knowledge that what he is going to do but not where is he from” said Advocate, Suryanarayan NK of Puttur in his inaugural address at 'Moot court society- 2013' of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara law college and centre for post graduate studies and research in law, Mangalore at SDM Law college auditorium, MG Road, Mangalore on Saturday.
Suryanarayan NK briefing ethics in advocacy said, "advocates should not violate the professional ethics and should know what they are doing. They must have the patience to listen to their clients because clients expect peaceful listening from his advocate," he advised.
He said that use of right logic is the basic principle, which one needs to practice continuously so that he will be perfect and moot sessions help to develop the skills.
Advocate from Karkala , MK Vijaya Kumar presided over the formal function. Advocate KSN Rajesh, Vignesh and Dr BK Ravindra, Principal of college were guests of honour.
