Mangalore, Sep 3: In connection with the arrest of a madrasa teacher on charges of sexual assault on a six-year-old girl in Boliyar, on the outskirts of the city, members of DK District Madrasa Teachers' Association said that they would pursue the case in a legal way to obtain justice to the accused in the case.
Speaking at a press conference held here on Tuesday, office-bearers of the association said that they had jointly taken the decision along with the Dakhina Kannada district committee of SKSSF.
Members of Boliyar masjid and madrasa committee has declared that the allegation of sexual assault made on accused Abdul Khader Yamani, a teacher in the madrasa, was false and malicious in nature. It is suspected that the allegation was a pre-planned conspiracy hatched with the intention of causing humiliation to the teacher, said treasurer of the association Umar Darimi Pattori.
The members claimed that this accusation was an attempt by a faction of the Boliyar jamaat (community) who were opposed to the syllabus in textbooks provided by Samastha organisation.
Other members of the association including secretary Ibrahim Darimi Kadaba and district spokesperson Ismail Yamani Thingaladi were present.
