The chief guest of this event was Kavita Shastry, MFJ-III, District 317-D4 spoke on the on the importance of smile, handwriting and bringing out our talents in our lives. She spoke about the importance of prayer in our lives. She taught the children to pray to God and respect our Guru equally. There was joy and happiness in the air when the kids put their melodious voices together to sing praises to the Lord.
RJ Kiran, Radio Mirchi conducted a motivational session with interaction and fun with riddles and spot games. Ln. Dian Augustin Lewis, President Disrict 317-D4, Ms Laxmi Shenoy, Lecturer SASCOMM, St Aloysius College and Mr. Wilson, Coordinator were present at the venue.
During the event, children were trained in different kinds of craft work by students of St Aloysius such as mehendi, greeting card making, wall hanging, shining garland, 2D greeting card designing, Bags from gunny bags, Flowers from notebooks etc. The skill based learning and interaction sessions helped the children to be independent and also enjoy life. This event was organised in association with Lions Club Mangalore Metro Gold and My Copie.
About Jeevadan:'Jeevadan', a pallitative care centre started on Febraury 2004 by daughters of St.Camillus. to provide care and support for HIV,Aids infected abandoned women and children. It has facilities of good treatment, medical care, vocational training.etc.
