Mangalore, Nov 11: Organic Promoters' Collective (OPC), Mangalore will organize a seminar on'Organic food production and distribution' and exhibition and sale of organic farm produce at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore on November 14 at 11.00 a.m.
Dr Rita Norohna, convener of OPC briefing about the event said that the seminar is organised at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya in the presence of organic and other interested farmers, experts in the field, elected representatives and government.
She said that a mobile outlet will also be launched in collaboration with Volkswagen, Mangalore.
“It is a month long campaign to promote the distribution of organic products to the consumers of Mangalore. This vehicle will visit every ward of City Corporation,” she said.
A website designed by the students of AIMIT Beeri will be launched and a video on “organic living” will also be released, she said.
Organic Farmer, Sunny D'Souza Neermarga said if the mobile outlet becomes successful, then vegetable and other organic products will be introduced in outlets in Mangalore.
