Mangalore, Nov 16: A team of nine Hajj pilgrims who had completed the pilgrimage through a private travel operator have alleged the operator of cheating them by not providing proper facilities.
Mohommad Sharief, one of the pilgrims said that he and eight others had taken up the Hajj pilgrimage through Iqlas Hajj and Umrah Service Tours and Travels.
The operator had taken Rs 3.80 lac per person. Though the operator had promised to provide all the facilities during the pilgrimage, over the 30 days of the pilgrimage, the 9 members' team who left on the pilgrimage from Mangalore on October had to suffer throughout the pilgrimage.
"Food, guide, medical aid were all taken care by us. While we ran out of resources, we managed to return to Mumbai and took money from some of our relatives and returned to Bajpe," said Mr Mohommad addressing a news conference.
