Ullal Darga vice president Haji Siraj dies

Mangalore, Nov 17: Ullal Sayyid Madani Darga Committee vice president Haji Siraj Ullal died after a massive cardiac arrest here on Sunday. He was 55.

A well-known community activist and businessman, Haji Siraj had also served as a member of Muslim Central Committee, and Dakshina Kannada district Wakf advisory committee.

Family sources said that even though he was taken to a hospital from his residence in Mangalore, immediately after cardiac arrest, doctors pronounced him brought dead.

His mortal remains will be taken to his ancestral house in Kotepur, Ullal on Monday after Fajr namaz. Janazah namaz will be held at Central Juma Masjid, Ullal, sources said.

Siraj is survived by his wife and seven daughters.
