Mangaluru, May 16: The actual reason for the happiness of 16-year-old Sushruth UK on the day of SSLC results was the tears of joy on the face of his mother, who is a Kannada teacher.
Besides emerging Dakshina Kannada district topper, Sushruth shared second state topper position with a few other students from other districts of Karnataka.
"My mother was ecstatic and she broke into tears on hearing my result. It was she, who persuaded me to score high marks. I have never seen her getting so emotional,” Sushruth told Coastaldigest.com.
The hardworking student who scored 100% marks in Kannada, English, Hindi Maths, Social Science, and 99% in Science, intends to continue his study in the field of medicine after completing pre-university course. Becoming an IAS officer is also one of his dreams.
According to his mother, Sushruth never wasted his time. He used to study for seven to eight hours a day. Good music was a way to relax between lessons for him. Sushruth's father Kishor Kumar UV, who is superintendent at Bantwal BEO office, feels that he is one of the luckiest fathers in the world.
But, Sushruth is not just a bookworm. He loves playing flute, violin, and practicing Bharathnatyam. Besides, he is also an ardent lover of Yakshagana. “He is a wonder kid. We are very proud of him,” says Sr Jilcy, the headmistress of the School.
