Bengaluru, Sept 21: BJP leaders today submitted a memorandum to Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala appealing him to take action as per the Constitution against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for allegedly giving a call for 'revolt' against the party (BJP).
The BJP delegation, which included Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok, Lok Sabha member Shobha Kharandlje, former Minister Suresh Kumar, among others, also appealed to the Governor to take note of prevailing law and order situation as Congress workers allegedly attacked house of Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa yesterday.
Speaking to newsmen in front of Raj Bhavan, Mr Gowda alleged that "it may be for the first time a Chief Minister has given a call to public to revolt against a party. Such statement is most dangerous to the democracy and Mr Kumaraswamy should not be allowed to continue in the post."
