Bengaluru, Dec 28: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday clarified that there is no change in the State government's decision to reopen schools from January 1 as announced already.
Speaking to mediapersons here, he said the government has already announced reopening of schools for SSLC and second PUC from January 1. There is no change in the government's stand and parents should not have any confusion about this. This will be discussed in the cabinet meeting later in the day, he added.
The Chief Minister also clarified that there is no problem with regard to UK returnees and the new strain virus.
Referring to Gram Panchayat elections held on December 22 and 27, Mr Yediyurappa said that nearly 95 per cent of the BJP supported candidates will win the elections. The government will encourage and cooperate with those who are newly.
