Bengaluru, Oct 8: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa on Thursday asked the department of tourism to identify spots and prepare a comprehensive plan for their overall development in the State.
Addressing officials of the Tourism Department at his home office 'Krishna, on Thursday, he called them to identify potential tourist spots and if any problem for development a plan should be drawn and submitted to the government for approval.
In this connection Tourism Minister C T Ravi, whose resignation as Minister, is yet to be accepted, has sought the
Chief Minister to depute KAS officials to the department to take up the development works of the tourist spots.
Mr Ravi speaking on the occasion suggested that Kemmanagundi and Nandi hills comprehensive development should be entrusted to the Tourism department.
The meeting also discussed the development of Badami Caves since international tourists are visiting more and it required international standard guests houses construction besides further development of historic town Srirangpatna also.
