Kalaburagi, Mar 11: Congress veteran and Kalaburagi MP Mallikarjun Kharge has openly expressed dissatisfaction over Bidar (South) MLA Ashok Kheny's entry to the party.

Addressing a media conference here on Sunday, the former union minister said: "I have no idea why Kheny has joined Congress. People who brought him into the party have to explain how the joining will benefit the party.”
“I don't want to comment anymore on the issue," he added.
Mr Kharge also said that he had received threats on the phone and attempts had been made to intimidate him.
He said he had received anonymous threat calls and had lodged a complaint with the Tughlaq police of New Delhi in this regard.
"I have also notified Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan," he said, adding that he had been getting threat calls for nearly a month and a half.
"I had to die when I was six years old. But I have lived to be 76 years old because of the affection and trust of people," the MP remarked.
