Indore, Jan 31: A team of National Investigative Agency (NIA) officers accompanied by terror suspect Lokesh Sharma reached Mhow on Tuesday and quizzed his cousin Jitendra Sharma, who is the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha office bearer.
The Bhopal NIA special court on Monday sent Lokesh Sharma to ten days remand in connection with late RSS functionary Sunil Joshi's murder case.
The NIA team reached Mhow guest house with Lokesh Sharma around 3.45pm. Soon after the team summoned Sharma's father Gopal Krishna, his mother and cousin Jitendra Sharma.The visiting team allowed Sharma to converse with family members till 6.45pm and afterwards, parents were returned. However, the investigators quizzed Lokesh Sharma's cousin Jitendra and the interrogation concluded late evening and Jitendra was released at around 10.15pm.
Earlier at around 8.30pm, NIA team reached house of one Dilip Jagtap situated around 8km from Mhow. Jagtap is the younger brother of ex-congress corproator Ashok Jagtap. Dilip's house was found locked and NIA team sealed the house and posted a guard.
Dilip is said to be a close friend of both Lokesh and Jitendra.
At around 9pm, the team was on way to guest house, where Lokesh and Jitendra were kept, they received a call that one person named Gopi Jagtap reached Dilip's house and the guard told the team that Gopi wanted to open the lock.
The team returned immediately and quizzed Gopi and also searched his house.
According to sources, NIA is also looking for Lokesh Sharma's sister who lived in a rented house of Ramji Kalsangra, also a key accused in several blast cases.
However, it was not clear whether the team found anything concrete during interrogation of Jitendra or in the search conducted at Gopi's house. Sources said that NIA team is planning to let Lokesh meet his wife who is presently in Gwalior and is expected to reach Indore on Wednesday.
