Bengaluru, Feb 11: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa directed the bankers to disburse loans under Prime Minister's Awas scheme and Prime Minister Swanidhi scheme.
Presiding over a meeting of Bankers at Vidhana Soudha on Prime Minister Awas Yojana and Prime Minister Swanidhi, he said that applications submitted under the Prime Minister Awas scheme will be forwarded to the respective districts' Lead Banks within 15 days, the District Lead Bank Manager should send them to various banks, and directed to expedite the sanction process.
He said The Prime Minister's Swanidhi Scheme is being implemented from July 2020 with the release of grants from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. Under the PM Swanidhi Scheme, street vendors will have a capital investment of Rs10,000 for regular payments and 7 per cent interest rate incentives to reward digital transactions.
He said that it has been instructed to issue loans for street vendors in the city and to distribute loans.
