Karnataka: Man burnt alive as car catches fire after hitting tree

Raichur, Feb 20: A 60-year-old man was burnt alive in a road accident when a car in which he was travailing caught fire after colliding with a roadside tree near Kalamal village of Raichur taluk on Saturday.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sadanandagowda Malipatil, native of Mallat village of Sirawal taluk of Raichur.

Police said that due to the impact of the accident, the central locking system of the car failed, so he could not come out to escape and was burnt alive along with the vehicle, they said.

Raichur Rural police registered a case.
