Mangaluru, Dec 13: Two youths have been arrested by the Mangaluru South police on charge of illegal possession of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), a narcotic substance.
The accused are Gautam (28), a resident of Kavoor and Lai Vegas (26) from Derebail. The two were allegedly involved in robbing a person in Falnir on December 5, the police said.
According to a press release, based on a tip-off, the police went to a place in Falnir and found the two attempting to sell LSD. The police recovered LSD worth Rs. 13,000.
The police said the accused reportedly admitted to kidnapping Hasan Shimar, a resident of of Britto Lane in Falnir, on December 5 and robbing him. The police have recovered the stolen articles.
LSD is a hallucinogenic drug. Effects typically include altered thoughts, feelings, and awareness of one's surroundings. Many users see or hear things that do not exist. Dilated pupils, increased blood pressure, and increased body temperature are typical. Effects typically begin within half an hour and can last for up to 12 hours.
