Kozhikode, Nov 8: Kerala Police filed a case against BJP Kerala president P S Sreedharan Pillai under non-bailable section soon after the launching of the party’s 'Sabarimala Protection Rath Yatra' from Kasargod on Thursday.
The Kasaba Police filed the case, under section 505 1(b) of IPC, for the BJP president’s speech at the Yuva Morch state meet a few days ago.
It was alleged that Mr Pillai has claimed that Sabarimala issue is a golden opportunity for the party to grow in Kerala.
Meanwhile, CPI (M) party leaders alleged that the BJP leader’s speech was aimed at causing fear among various sections of the society and creating disturbance.
The police filed the case following a complaint received from a media person.
