DKSC Oman- Al Ihsan Moolur celebrate Milad-un-Nabi

Muscat, March 8: Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Centre Oman and Al-Ihsan Education Centre Moolur, jointly organized a Milad-un-Nabi at Muscat, Sultanate of Oman recently.

As many as 500 people including children, men and women from Dakshina Karnataka participated in the day-long event.

The programme commenced with recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Master Mohsin Monabba. Syed Mohiddin Sastan welcomed the gathering.

Moidin Abubakker Padubidri briefed the objectives and activities of Al Ihsan Education Centre and DKSC Oman.

A variety of programmes were also conducted for the children, adults including ladies.

Qira’ath, naath, speech, coloring competition and memory test were organized for children. Essay writing competition on Hazrath Zainab Bint Jahsh and memory test were organised for women. For men qira’ath competition was held. Moreover, separate open quiz competitions for children, men and women were also held.

Anwar Hussain Mangalore announced names of the winners, who were honored with glittering trophies.

Iqbal Omar Yermal, general secretary, DKSC Oman proposed vote of thanks. Syed Mohiddin Sastan and Riyaz Ahmed Basrur compered the programme.

President of DKSC Oman Monabba Abdul Rahman Yermal felicitated the following people:

Mughis Juned Mangalore for representing Oman National Cricket team.

Sania Noor Mangalore and Master Mohsin Monabba Yermal for representing Indian Schools in Oman at All India Schools Athletics Championship held at Meerat, India.

Shukoor Kazi, captain, SKMWA team for winning Muscat Cricket Tournament conducted by Mangalore Friends Muscat.
