Addressing the gathering KWAR Royston Prabhu briefed about the activities of his association. He said KWAR has been actively involved in charitable activities.
He also said that efforts are still on to get direct flight between Mangalore and Saudi Arabian city. “Our dream may soon fulfill,” he said.
The spectacular evening aimed to entertain ‘Karavali’ expats in the city of Riyadh, started with the recitation of Quranic verses.
Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions. Vice President of KWAR Parvez Ali delivered the welcome address while General Secretary Muzaffar Ali presented the annual report about the activities of the association.
The Karavali Parba indeed showcased Karnataka Karavali People’s heritage, tradition, ethnic food, ethnic folk, ethnic artifacts, ethnic sports and ethnic way of life in the heart of the oil rich kingdom.
Cultural programmes enthralled the gathering. Tiger-dance known as “huli vesha” was the special attraction of the event.
Founder president of KWAR Vijay Rai, former president Ramesh Shetty, P M A Razak of Plama Developers, Kevin Nazreth of Bhandary Builders and Shamsuddin Mayyaddi of Horizon builders were present on the occasion.
