Three Sunni organisations in Gulf merge under ‘Karnataka Jamiyyatul Ulema’

Dubai, Feb 23: Karnataka Sunni Youth Club, UAE, Gulf Karnataka Sunni Forum, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Karnataka Sunni Association will be merged into one unit under ‘Karnataka Jamiyyatul Ulema’ named Karnataka Cultural Forum.

Udupi district Khazi Ibrahim Musliyar, Bekal, addressing the gathering, after accepting the felicitation by Karnataka Sunni Youth Club in Dubai, appreciated the efforts of Sunni emigrants from various parts of Karnataka residing in the Middle East who had formed various organisations for the benefit of their native land and their community.

The Karnataka Jamiyyatul Ulema has decided to strengthen the activities of organisations formed by non-residential Sunnis from Karnataka. As the first step towards this goal, it has announced the merger of several organisations into one single unit, he said.

On the occasion, he was jointly felicitated by around 15 Karnataka Sunni Associations functional in Dubai. Karnataka State Wakf Board Committee member Moulana N K M Shafi Saadi read the felicitation message.

ICF Dubai zonal president Syed Muthu Thangal inaugurated the programme.

KCF Abu Dhabi branch president Hameed Saadi made the introductory remarks.

KCF – Abu Dhabi branch secretary Sheikh Bava, RSC Dubai Committee president Abdul Hakeem Al Hasani, Moideen Kutti Haji Dibba, Director of ‘Siraj Malayalam’ newspaper P M H Abdul Hameed, industrialist Abdul Haji Nalka, and others participated in the programme, along with KCF committee members from Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.

KCF – Dubai Committee president Abdul Jaleel N welcomed the gathering. Riyaz Kondageri compered the programme and Mohammed Shafi Chamiyal delivered a vote of thanks.
