Jeddah, Jul 23: The Jeddah unit of Mangalore based NGO Jamiyyatul Falah hosted a grand Iftar party on Saturday, July 20, at Village Restaurant in Azizia district, here.
A large number of members, guests and well wishers of Jamiyyatul Falah took part in the event along with their family members. The event was sponsored by Basem International Shipping & Logistics Co. Ltd Jeddah.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Mohammed Mawiyah said that Ramadan is a holy month bestowed by the Almighty Allah for us to obtain a bounty of rewards for the good work done by Muslim Ummah. He also emphasized the importance of Zakath and Fitrah and urged all to spend more time for zikar and ibadath.
JF Founder Mohammed Iqbal Yusuf highlighted the activities of JF in general and described how JF reached to the silver jubilee year. He also briefed about the ongoing projects of JF and appealed all guests to become lifetime members of the organisation and support its noble cause.
Chief guest Maulana Ubaidur Rahaman, editor of Mualim Magazine, focused on the duties and responsibilities of Muslim Ummah towards the under privileged and poor families. He also lauded the service of Jamiyyatul Falah towards the welfare of community.
Arab News chief editor Nasir Javed and BBC World Urdu Service Correspondent of Jeddah Ayub Janjani were among the special guests attended the programme.
The programme commenced with the recitation of holy Quran by Master Fahad Janjani, followed by introduction of Jamiyyatul Falah by Mohammed Mansoor, who also compered the programme. JF Jeddah Unit President Mohammed Arif welcomed the gathering.
Following to the Maghrib Azan the Iftar and Salah were performed with well organized arrangement and outstanding event management by Village Restaurant staff. General Secretary of the JF Jeddah unit Shaikh Saoud proposed the vote of thanks.
