Bengaluru, Dec 29: Police have nabbed six members of a gang which had indulged in robbing tractors and seized from them stolen 26 tractors, five cars and eight two-wheelers together worth over Rs 1,46,40,000.
Police said on Tuesday that the arrested were identified as Boregowda, Aand, Yakub Khan, Lingappa, K Lokesh and V Lokesh.
The gang used to change Chassis and Engine number of the stolen tractors at Mandya, Mysore, Tumakuru and register them as new in RTO offices before selling them at a cheap rate.
Commissioner of Police Kamal Panth, appreciating the efforts by a team led by Inspector M Prasanth, has announced Rs 30,000 cash prize.
Kamakshipalya Police have registered a case and are investigating.
