Mysuru, Nov 9: Prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC has been enforced in the entire Kodagu district from Friday to Sunday morning on the eve of the Tipu Jayanthi celebrations to be held on November 10.
An order issued by the Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Sreevidya said that other than the official celebrations to mark Tipu Jayanthi, no other celebrations were not allowed in the district.
The orders will be in force from Friday morning 6 am to Sunday 6 am.
Security has been stepped up in Kodagu district following protests against the Tipu Jayanti celebrations planned on November 10.
The event had witnessed disturbance during 2016 and 2017 in the district.
