Bengaluru, Dec 19: Karnataka government has decided to throw open schools for the students of 10th and 12th standard from January one.
A decision on the opening of schools on experimental basis had been taken following a report of an expert committee on reopening of schools in the state at a meeting chaired by the chief minister, BS Yeddyurappa here today.
The schools which would reopen shall have to comply with the SOPs issued by the state government on containing the pandemic Covid-19.
Speaking after a meeting Chief minister said that opening of other classes for the 8th and 9th standard will be taken after reviewing the conditions, and the experience gained for having to reopen of the classes for 10th and 12th, he said.
The schools are being reopened in Karnataka after a gap of over 9 months due to Covid-19 pandemic.
