Bengaluru, Nov 9: Actress Sruthi Hariharan, who accused multilingual actor Arjun Sarja of sexually harassing her during a movie shoot three years ago, made a statement before a magistrate on Wednesday.
The statement was made under section 164 CrPC, before a magistrate and in the absence of police. "We had made it clear to Sruthi that the statement made under sectopm 164 CrPC will be treated as evidence during trial. She agreed to it," police said.
It may be recalled that on October 27, Sruthi had filed a criminal complaint against Sarja and police had booked the actor under IPC sections 354 (outraging modesty of women) and 354 A (sexual harassment).
