Mangaluru, Feb 9: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy offered to quit politics if it was proved that the CD released by him was fake and the voice of who offered money and position to a JDS MLA was not that of Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa, who is also BJP State President.
Immediately after release of the CD by Mr Kumaraswamy, former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa had offered to quit Politics if the voice in the CD was proved as his.
Speaking to newsmen at the Airport here on Saturday before leaving to Dharmastala to take part in the inauguration of Mahamastakabhisheka programme, Mr Kumaraswamy said that "there is a need to conduct a probe into the voice in the audio clip to prove whether it is of Yeddyurappa or not".
Mr Kumaraswamy clarified that he did not say that the voice heard in the audio clip on ‘Operation Kamala’ released by him on Friday was that of Mr Yeddyurappa.
The audio clip has mentioned the names of Assembly Speaker, Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a judge. The statements in the audio aimed at harming the democratic setup. There is a need to conduct an inquiry into it.”
Yeddyurappa has termed the audio clip as mimicry by Mr Kumaraswamy who has experience in Film land. There is a need to bring out the truth in the audio clip. Let us have an inquiry if Prime Minister Narendra Modi cooperates in this regard. Let us look into the probe by ACB also,” he added.
