The trailer uses a kitschy image of a roaring tiger in the backdrop even as Sourav mouths lines such as Waqt ko waapas lana parega and Iss liye log mujhe baap nahin dada bolte hain. However, the interesting bit is that this trailer is not for a movie on Sourav but an ad of a health insurance major that he is endorsing.
Says Antony Jacob, CEO of the health insurance major, "Sourav is our brand ambassador for the next three years. We are planning to do a lot of work together in terms of building transparency and customer satisfaction. This ad has been designed like a movie trailer because we believe that his life is no different from that of a Bollywood thriller. The ups and downs, the success and motivation are the four pillars on which this film stands. Every viewer should take this as a love story between Sourav Ganguly and his fans."
Ever since its launch on May 7, the trailer has already registered more than 1,50,000 hits at last count. Some say this could be the next big online hit after Kolaveri Di. The ad was shot on April 28 at Sourav's Kolkata residence.
