Mangaluru: As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Allied Industrial Services Corporation chartered a flight on August 22 for repatriation of stranded Kannadigas from Dammam to Mangaluru.
Allied corporation, owned by Mangalureans Ameer Hussain and Thouseef Ahmed is been operating since 2011 in the city of Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, employing numerous Kannadigas on sectors of petrochemical and refineries.
The duo had received so many requests from left behind expatriates, who could not get a seat on earlier flights due to scarcity of seats.
The request were from, pregnant women, jobless expatriates, patients who required urgent medicals assistance in home country as they could not afford local medical care and expatriates with expired work and family visas .
Allied corporation has thanked Mr Fayaz Muzain and Mr Irfan Abdul khader for their support and assistance to complete all required local government formalities. It also thanked the Indian embassy officials for their support and Mr Mumtaz Ali for assisting locally.
There were 187 passengers on board the flight including 12 infants, 32 children, 38 pregnant women, 2 cancer patients, 1 paralyzed patient, senior citizens and others.
