Qatar Indian Social Forum hosts ‘Sports Meet 2019’

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) organized a "Sports Meet 2019" at MIC Sports Complex, Messaid, Doha Qatar on 22nd February 2019 as a part of its annual activities.

Various games and activities such as March Past, Foot ball, Dodge ball, Shoot out, Take and run, Kho kho, Sack race, Arm wrestling and Tug of war were organized and QISF state/Zonal teams took part in the competitions.

The programme was started with a spectacular March past from all the participated teams in the presence of QISF Central Committee President Syeed Komachi and the office bearers of QISF Central and State Committees.

QISF Karnataka state team presented the Daff event along with the March past and bagged the 1st prize for their marvelous performance. Kerala State's Wakrah zone team presented Kolkali event with the March past and succeeded to grab the 2nd prize whereas, Tamilnadu state team managed to get the 3rd prize.

All the teams took part in almost all the games and entertained the audience by their performances.

Ishaq, Salam Kunumal, Zakariya Pandeshwara, Irshad Kulai, Shahir, Faisal Malayil, Gadafi, Sajeer Uliyil, Majeed Mappayoor and Abdul Rahman managed and conducted the games.

Qatar Racing Champion Mr. Fahad Al Sulaity, the chief guest and another guest Mr. Mohammed Bukhari of Indian Sports Centre appreciated the efforts of QISF and assured their co-operation in organizing more such events and distributed the prizes to the winners. QIFF President Mr. Abdul Razak and QIFF President for Northern States Mr. Zafar Ahmed were present on the dais.

A free medical camp was organized in association with Asian Medical Centre, the Sponsors' of this event. A team of Doctors and Nurses carried out the medical check up for the sportsmen and advice them accordingly. Mr. Ishaq concluded the programme with the vote of thanks.
