Oommen Chandy, other ministers call on Pejawar seer

Kasaragod, Aug 4: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other ministers called on Vishwesha Tirtha Swami, the chief pontiff of Udupi’s Pejawar Mutt at Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.

The influential swamiji, who is also the spiritual leader of the Madhwa Tulu Brahmana Samajam was given a rousing reception by the Samajam on Sunday in Kerala.

The seer is on a visit to Kerala as part of his tour to important temples in the country.

The seer will be in Thiruvanathapuram till Tuesday evening. Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, and Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar also visited him on Monday.
