Bengaluru, Dec 3: Strongly denying BJP trying to destabilise the Coalition Government in Karnataka, former Minister and Senior BJP leader B Sriramulu alleged that some of the Congress and JDS leaders are trying to defame the party's (BJP) name by floating news about BJP indulging in 'Operation Kamal' to woo their Legislators.
Reacting to the media reports that his Personal Assistant had contacted a business tycoon in Dubai and discussed about the ‘Operation Kamala’, and discussed about weaning away of some of the Congress legislators into BJP fold, he said that “Congress and the JD(S) leaders are in the spree to spread false and fabricated stories, to defame BJP”.
Referring to some Electronic media beaming alleged audio recorded telephonic conversation by his PA with a Dubai Businessman, in several Kannada news channel on Monday, he said “My PA dose not speak in Hindi language and that itself nail the truth”.
Almost all the news channels in Karnataka had aired the alleged recorded conservation in which the aide of the BJP leader had revealed that as many as 10 Congress MLAs have already agreed to cross over to BJP from the Congress and another 15 legislators had also expressed their willingness to bite the bait.
Meanwhile there was also rumors that to counter the BJP’s strategy, the ruling JD(S) and the Congress leaders had also planned to poach some of the BJP legislators, who were previously in Congress and Janata Parivar and ward off any threat to the stability of the coalition government.
