Mangalore, December 1: With global crude oil prices coming down, oil marketing companies have cut patrol prices by Rs.0.78 to Rs 0.86 per litre, the second reduction in two weeks.
Price of petrol sold at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), outlets in Mangalore has become cheaper by 86 paise from Thursday.
Now, petrol in Mangalore costs Rs Rs 72.43 as against the earlier price of Rs 73.28.
Likewise, the price of petrol in Udupi has been reduced to Rs 72.52 per litre (Rs 73.38 earlier). A litre of auto LPG too will become cheaper by 51 paise to touch Rs 40.70 (Rs 41.21 earlier).
Premium brand of petrol will now cost Rs 74.93 (Rs 75.79 earlier) in Mangalore and Rs 75.03 in Udupi.
IOC, the market leader which announced latest cut in price on behalf of the industry, said the reduction was made possible as the decline in international rates of the fuel outweighed the drop in the rupee.
