RICKSHAW
Bengaluru, Nov 27: In a special drive conducted by the City traffic police, as many as 700 autorickshaws were seized for violating traffic rules on Thursday.

The police said that the drive was conducted from 6 am to 8 am across the City. The plainclothes policemen posing as customers seized the vehicles within two hours. Auto drivers were booked for not coming for hire, charging extra, no proper documents, display cards and other violations.

Drivers will have to pay the penalty to get their autorickshaws released.
For now, we are booking the drivers and from next time, the licence of the drivers will be cancelled, added the police.

The drive was planned due to a rise in complaints against autorickshaw drivers.
