Mangalore, Jan 6: Police on Monday booked Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and hardcore Hindutva preacher Chakravarthy Sulibele for giving provocative speeches and hurting religious sentiments through extremely vulgar and sleazy comments.
Delivering the keynote address at the 'Hindu Sangama' organized on the premises of Vajradehi Mutt of Gurpur on Sunday, Prabhakar Bhat had not only lashed out at youths of Muslim community and religious leaders of Christian community but also insulted their religious practices and rituals.
Denouncing Muslim women for covering their body with Hijab, he said that all Muslim men were “handicapped” as they undergo 'circumcision'.
He went on to advise Hindu parents, who send their children to Christian education institutions not to allow them to address reverend fathers as fathers. “Call them “Padris” and don't call them as 'fathers' at any cost,” he said.
It is learnt that Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament from Dakshina Kannada, who had participated in the programme among many other BJP leaders, too applauded the sleazy dialogs of the RSS leader.
“The speech of Prabhakar Bhat was an apparent attempt to trigger communal riot in the region ahead of the impending Lok Sabha polls. This is not the first time Prabhakar Bhat is using such sleazy language in public speeches. Such people deserve stringent legal action,” said a teacher, who took part in the Hindu Sangama.
Meanwhile, several organizations and political parties have condemned provocative speeches of Prabhakar Bhat and Soolibele and demanded the government and police department to take immediate action against them.
