PU paper leak case: Former councillor gets bail

Bengaluru, Aug 30: The High Court of Karnataka on Monday granted bail to the former Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palikie (BBMP) councillor, Gangabyraiah, who was arrested in connection with a case related to the leakage of II PU chemistry question paper this year.

Justice B. Sreenivase Gowda allowed the bail petition while asking the petitioner to cooperate with the Criminal Investigation Department, which is probing the case. The petitioner has been accused of purchasing leaked question paper from an accused for his grandson by paying Rs. 80,000. He was arrested on July 27.
