Bengaluru, Aug 1 (UNI) Rebel Congress and the JD(S) MLAs, who were disqualified from the membership of the Karnataka Assembly by former Speaker Ramesh Kumar filed their petition against the order in the Supreme Court seeking quashing of the order on Thursday.
According to sources, the 14 rebel MLAs, including three from the JD(S) had knocked the doors of the Supreme Court on Thursday, seeking quashing of the Speaker’s order of disqualifying them from the Assembly.
The MLAs, who had approached the Apex Court are, H Vishwanath, K Gopalaiah, Narayana Gowda (all JD-S), B C Patil, Pratapa Gouda Patil, K Sudhakar, M T B Nagaraj, S T Somashekhar, Byrathi Basavaraj, Munirathna, Srimanth Patil, Anand Singh and R Shankar.
