Moodbidri, Dec 21: While literature and culture has been the heart of the 'Alva's Vishwa Nudi Viraasat', there is a separate world of agriculture, which has been juxtaposed here.
A state-level 'Krishi Mela' organized by Alva's Foundation in collaboration with Shri Dharmasthala Gramabhivriddhi Yojana has been a treat for eyes.
The platform aptly named after the pioneer of white revolution Dr Vergheese Kurian, the 'Krishi Mela' has been adding to the glory of 'Vishwa Nudisiri Viraasat'.
The venue is artistically decked with agri-produces. A house made of 'Byaadgi' chillies, 'Krishi Ratha', a chariot made of a beautiful arrangement of areca, coconut, paddy and other agricultural produce is a lavish spectacle.
Small shrine like structures made of jowar, elephant made of flowers were some of the spots that left the spectators mesmerised.
The venue also has glimpses of traditional agricultural practices which takes the spectator to an agricultural journey.
Dairy farming, cuniculture, bee-keeping were some of the other agriculture related practices that were promoted at the mela, which bagged the interest of the farmers.
