Mumbai, Sep 10: After Sonam Kapoor, it was Sonakshi Sinha’s turn to be heavily trolled on Twitter over the past two days for speaking up against the temporary meat ban in Mumbai.
Among the first to protest was Sonam Kapoor, who made a comparison between misogyny and meat ban.
Twitterati widely lashed out alleging Sonam did not know what she was saying.
While Sonam was trolled as being stupid, Sonakshi on Wednesday was the target of verbal insults including ‘wretched ’and ‘fat’.
She has been trending on Twitter since Tuesday “1stly many thnx for calling India,- "Banistan". 2ndly, I really wish for ban of Bollywood which is blocking brains of kids (sic),” wrote @SuvalagnaC.
Another twitterati, @DefucktiveHumor, wrote: “@sonakshisinha This is a free country that is why there is no restrictions on the stupidity shown in a movie. Chinta ta chita chita (sic).”
Some even resurrected a 2014 tweet of the actress where she had spoken against the import of animal-tested cosmetics.
Others aimed insults at her actor-politician father Shatrughan Sinha. Sonakshi further stated on Twitter: “Welcome to twitter. Whr only trolls r allowed to have their say... yep, the only space they shud be takin up in life is the 140 chars here!... and the best part is, trolls think they are relevant, while we carry on with our happy and positive lives god bless you all (sic).”
