ICC Test Rankings: Kohli maintains top spot, Rishabh Pant leapfrogs to career-high 48

Dubai, Dec 20: Indian skipper Virat Kohli's 25th Test ton against Australia in the Perth Test makes him stand firm at top of the batting charts according to the latest ICC Test rankings released on Thursday.

Kohli became the second fastest to reach 25 Test ton during Perth Test from his 127 innings while after Sir Don Bradman took just 68 innings.

The Indian skipper extended his lead with 934 rating, even as Kane Williamson, who recently became the first New Zealander to make it to 900 points, improved on his numbers with 915 rating.

India's Rishabh Pant has leapfrogged 11 spots to a career-high no 48 while Ajinkya Rahane has gained three places to no15. 

Opener Usman Khawaja, whose gritty knock of 72 in the second innings helped Australia set India a target of 287, moved up one slot to no 12. Tim Paine jumped from no 55 to no 46 while Travis Head moved up 17 slots to no 63 and Finch up by 17 to no 72.
