Mangalore, Dec 29: As part of their silver jubilee celebrations, Jamiyyatul Falah, Dakshina Kannada district organised an orientation programme for SSLC and PUC students at JF Community Development Centre, Kankanady here on Saturday.
Inaugurating the orientation workshop titled 'Inspiration', Kannada Rajyothsava awardee and Akshatha Santha Harekala Hajabba spoke on his humble beginning and struggle as an orange vendor to build an educational institution for children in his village in the taluk. Invoking almighty's blessings on the efforts of the organisation and on students, he said that it brought him immense joy to see the media highlighting his struggle and making it known among people in the district.
JF president Saduddin Salihi said that the organisation was dedicated to the cause of students and had conducted workshops in the past for training of personality development and characterisation in them. The intention of conducting these workshops is to develop self-motivation in students to study better, he said.
In the workshop, resource person Amin A Mudassir Puthige coached students few ways to improve memory and concentration power and to achieve excellence in their studies. “You cannot achieve excellence if you do not find the meaning in education, which should be towards building your capability in life. There should a constant search for your goal and thirst for excellence. You must have a burning desire to achieve success,” he told students, motivating them to overcome imaginary mental barriers and study better.
JF member Shahul Hameed also spoke on the occasion.
Students from Mangalore and nearby taluks participated in the workshop.
