Agra, Jun 1: Vishva Hindu Parishad’s dethroned leader Pravin Togadia’s one of the close aide has announced Rs 2 lakh reward for those who would thrash Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in public.
The generous hatemonger has been identified as Govind Parashar, the chief of Agra unit of Togadia’s new outfit, ‘Hindu Hi Aage’. Togadia had to quit the Vishva Hindu Parishad on April 14 earlier this year.
Parashar has blamed Salman Khan for hurting sentiments of Hindus by naming his movie ‘Loveratri’. The movie has been produced by Salman’s company.
Parashar said the Bollywood actor has scheduled his film’s release during Navratri to cash in on the nine-day-long Hindu festival. Parashar and other ‘Hindu Hi Aage’ members burnt posters of Salman Khan and his movies near Bhagwan Talkies on Thursday, a report said.
The activists also shouted slogans against Salman and his movie ‘Loveratri’. The movie releases in October this year and the case includes Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.VHP leader Pravin Togadia launches attack on PM Modi, says 'this govt helped Pak-supporters'
“The movie is being produced by Salman Khan by distorting ‘Navratri’ – a religious occasion with which sentiments of lakhs of Hindus are attached. We condemn such intention of Salman Khan and seek a ban on the movie. If it is permitted to be screened, we would oppose it tooth and nail,” a newspaper quoted Parashar as saying.
“We won’t tolerate hurting of Hindu sentiments and as city unit president of Hindu Hi Aage I have declared a reward of Rs 2 lakh for anyone thrashing cine actor Salman Khan in public,” he added.
