Mangalore, Jan 23: South Karnataka Salafi Movement, Mangalore will organise a two-day state-level Salafi conference on January 25 and 26 at Adyar-Kannur on the outskirts of the city, said Ismail Shafi, secretary of the organisation.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said that a ladies' seminar would be organised by the organisation on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in which scholars such as Khadeeja Iqbal and Zubaida Swalahiya from Kerala and others would participate.
On the second day, an open public conference will be held on Sunday from 9 a.m. onwards, in which scholars like Dr Furkhan Ali from Madani, Uttar Pradesh, Moulana Abdurraheem Khurram Jamayee from Saudi Arabia and several others will participate, he said.
He said that men and women from all creed and faiths were welcome to attend the conference.
President of the organisation Ahmed Ansar and secretary Riyaz Ahmed were present.
