Mangalore, Jan 27: A two-day state-level Salafi conference was organised by South Karnataka Salafi Movement, Mangalore on January 25 and 26 at Adyar-Kannur on the outskirts of the city.
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the conference on Sunday, president of Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) T P Abdullah Koya said that the Salafi organisation was fighting against the blind beliefs, superstition and exploitation that had taken root in the society. We should propound the theory of 'one God' by offering our devotion and prayers only to the sole creator, he said.
President of the organisation Ahmed Ansar presided over the programme.
Vice-president of the welcome committee of the conference U N Abdul Razaq, KNM Kasaragod district president Dr K P Ahmed, Basheer Ahmed Shalimar, Aboobaker Pandeshwar, Abdullah Rahiman Basha, Moideen Haiko, Moideen Bawa Pandeshwar, Basheer Kollapady, Abdul Latheef Padanna, Dr Basheer Kannur and K M Haneef were present.
During the conference on Sunday, Maulana PP Abdussalam Mogam delivered a seminar on the Holy Quran and its message. Maulana Abdul Rahim spoke on the subject 'Responsibility of Tauheed and Ummat', while Maulana Ali Umar Kapu gave a discourse on how Mu'meen should be.
Abdullah Shukur, Maulana Abdul Razaq Hubli, Dr Abdullah Majeed, Maulana Abdul Wahab, Imran Hyderabad, Abdul Rahiman Salafi, Abdurrahim K Hyderabad and Maulana Haneef Kayakodi also preached on various topics during the conference.
