Bengaluru, Oct 6: The Karnataka High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Sri Krishna, an accused in the assault that took place at a restaurant involving Shantinagar MLA N.A. Haris’ son Mohammed Nalapad Haris.
Justice B.A. Patil allowed the plea and directed the petitioner, who has been arrayed as accused number three, to surrender to the investigating agency within 15 days.
Sri Krishna was with Mohammed Nalapad when they allegedly assaulted Vidvat at Farzi Cafe in UB City on February 17. He has been absconding since then.
On his surrender, the investigating agency has to release him on bail if he furnishes a personal bond for Rs. 2 lakh with two sureties of like sum. He has been directed to surrender his passport within 20 days and not leave the jurisdiction of the court without prior permission.
