Mangalore, June 22: Selection of Ashraf Ahmed as the new president of Ullal Dargah, is purely unconstitutional and a pre-planned effort to breach the unity of the Committee members said Akbar Ullal, Convener, Ullala Savira Jamath Rakshana Vedike, here at press meet on Wednesday.

Alleging that Assistant Qazi Koyamma Tangal is an unethical person disguised in religious robes, Mr. Akbar said that he has no right to indulge himself in electing the President as his role is confined to performing religious rituals. By violating the rules of Committee Koyamma Tanjal has proved himself that he is unfit to occupy the post of Assistant Qazi.

He also said that there was no need of an emergency situation to elect the president for the duration of a week.

Speaking on the violation of rules he said that conducting committee meet in the absence of President as well a vice president, nominating 55 members instead of 40 members are clear indication to identify who is right.

U K Monu Kannachur will remain the president of Ullal Dargah committee, he added.
