Uppinangady: Cops seize 29 cattle after intercepting truck, arrest one

Uppinangady, Oct 2: The police have seized 29 heads of cattle, which were being transported in a truck, and arrested one person at Nelyadi near Uppinangady.

On Tuesday morning, police, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a truck coming from Hassan to Mangaluru.

Police, who stopped the truck near Nelyadi, while checking the vehicle, found that 29 buffaloes were being transported in the truck without any proper documents.

They arrested Imran Pasha, a resident of Arsikere, in this connection. Three others who were in the truck managed to escape from the spot.

Police seized the truck. A case has been registered at the Uppinangady police station in this regard.
