Mangalore, May 20: For the fifth time, Alva's Education Foundation, Moodbidri will organise Alva's Pragati 2014, an annual mass job mela on June 14 and 15 at the institution's campus at Vidyagiri, Moodbidri, said chairman of the institution Dr M Mohan Alva.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that the institution was expecting over 200 companies spanning across sectors such as IT/ITES, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Automobile, Healthcare, Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI), Media, Sales and Retail, NGO and Education, Defence and Human Resource agencies to participate in the job fair. Some of the prominent participating companies are Titan, Videocon, Oracle, Ernst and Young, IBM, UAE Exchange, Biocon, Aditya Birla Group, ITC, Godrej, Larsen & Toubro, Taj Group, ICICI Bank, Wipro and Aegis, among others, he said, adding that the job fair was a good opportunity for graduates and diploma holders across disciplines.
He said that there was a huge demand for experienced and non-experienced graduates with BBM, BCom, BCA, BSc, BSW and BHM degrees. Several hospitals were offering jobs for nursing students. There was a good opportunity even for ITI and diploma candidates who can apply for positions offered exclusively for them, he said.
He also said that overseas companies such as NMC, UAEXchange, Fabtech and others had job openings abroad in the Middle-Eastern countries.

Aspirants will require 5-10 passport size photos along with their updates resumes, and copies of all their marks cards.
