Hyderabad, June 24: Andhra Pradesh government has announced a reward of Rs. 25 lakh each to two kabaddi players from the state, who were part of the Indian team that won the world championship.
A press release from the Chief Minister's Office on Saturday said two state players R Nagalakshmi and Mamata Poojary would get the cash incentive.
Mamata Poojary, Indian women's kabaddi team secured one more international gold medal at recently held Asian Beach Games in Japan.
Born in Karkala taluk of Udupi district in Karnataka, Mamatha Poojary is currently an employee of Indian Railway in Sikandrabad in Andhra Pradesh.

The kabaddi players were sour that they were ignored by the state government despite being part of the national squad that won the world championship.
