Mangaluru, Oct 5: As bizarre it sounds, a rift between actress Radhika and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy has led to their apparent split due to which, Radhika has dropped her filmmaking projects and come to Mangaluru to settle down.
According to close sources, Radhika has been upset over her alleged split with the JD(S) leader and left Bengaluru to settle down in the coastal town of Mangaluru.
Directors and actors in close contact with the personality have also confirmed the rumour that the Radhika-Kumaraswamy have parted ways.
When contacted, her manager said that Radhika was currently in Mangaluru, but it was not clear when she would return.
A source close to Radhika also said that since she had decided to settle here, she would be enrolling her son in a school in Mangaluru from the next academic year onwards.
Until recently, Radhika was involved in the production of 'Namagagi' Kannada cine film in which she appears as lead actor along with co-star Vijaya Raghavendra.
However, rumours are rife that the production of this project stopped before it could be completed. However, director Raghuram denied this and said that the production of the movie would continue.
Nikhil rumoured to be reason for big split
It is rumoured that Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil was the reason for the big split between the couple, as he insisted that his father ditch his relationship with second wife Radhika. It is believed that Kumaraswamy gave in to the wishes of his son and split up with Radhika.
